Configuring Audio Settings
There are two ways to join meeting audio, joining via computer or joining via telephone. Follow these sections to test your audio before or after joining a meeting.
You can also join a test meeting if you want to test your audio and familiarize yourself with meeting controls. There are two methods in selecting the right audio settings, the first method is before you join your Zoom meeting and the second method is after joining a Zoom meeting.
Method 1: Audio Settings When Joining a Meeting
- Once you join a Zoom call you are presented with selecting one audio conference options. By phone or by computer audio.
- You may also click "Test Speaker and Microphone" to see if you've selected the right audio settings.
- You will then be able to test your audio to see if it is the correct audio settings.
- Once you are all set, please click "Join with Computer Audio"
Method 2: Changing You Audio Settings in a Meeting
- In the bottom left of your Zoom call you should be able to see the audio options, click on the up arrow key.
- When doing so you should see a list of audio options, please select the right audio settings.
- If you are not sure, please select "Audio Settings".
- You will then be presented with Audio settings.
- Click "Test Speaker" when you selected the right speaker.
- You should be able to hear audio coming out of your speaker or headphones, and if you do not please select a different speaker.
- Now click "Test Microphone" when you selected the right microphone.
- You should be able to see the blue bar in the "Input Level" when audio is passing through to your microphone.
- When you are done, you may exit out of the Audio Settings.
