How to use Zoom Polling

Note: Only the original meeting host can edit or add polls during a meeting. If the host or co-host role is transferred to another user, that user will only be able to launch polls already created.

Based on the article, if there's no poll launched or set by the original host, the next user who will substitute or assigned as the host will not be able to launch new polls unless there's a poll already existing made by the original host.

  1. Once joined the call as a Host or was assigned as a Co-Host, click on the "Polling" button located meeting control bar.
  2. Click "Add a Question" button
  3. Enter a title for your Poll
  4. Fill in your Poll with questions and your choice of a "Single Choice" or "Multiple Choice"
    1. If you would like to add another question to your poll, click "Add Question" and repeat steps 3 and 4.
  5. Then click the "Save" button.
  6. Return to your Zoom app and you should see the questions you've setup.
  7. Then click "Launch Polling"
  8. You should then see your Poll active, see image below.
  9. When you are done and see results from your polls, click "End Polling"
  10. To show your polling results with your participants, click "Share Results"
    1. And when you are done sharing, click "Stop Share Results"
