This article is intended for use by students who need to set up their Windows devices to connect to the Internet.

Connect to Columbia U Secure

Students are encouraged to connect to the Columbia U Secure network. Columbia U Secure uses a secure connection to internet access points. You can learn more about the Columbia U Secure network. Please follow the steps below to join the Columbia U Secure network on your Windows device:

  1. From the taskbar, right-click the Start button.

     

  2. Click the Network Connections shortcut.

     

  3. Click the Wi-Fi settings option.

     

  4. Click the Show available networks link.

     

  5. Click the Columbia U Secure Wi-Fi network.

     

  6. Click the Connect automatically checkbox.

     

  7. Click the Connect button.

     

  8. Enter YourUNI and password.

     

  9. Click the OK button.

     

  10. Click the Connect button

     

  11. In just a few moments you will be connected to the Columbia U Secure network.
