This article is intended for use by students who would like to setup Windows Updates on their Windows device.
Microsoft releases updates often. These updates are for the hardware, software, and security of your Windows device. Please follow the steps to enable the recommended Windows Update settings:
From the taskbar, click the Start button.
Click the File Explorer shortcut.
Select the Update & Security setting.
Select Advanced options.
Turn on the Receive updates for other Microsoft Products when you update switch.
Scroll down, click the Delivery Optimization link.
Turn off the Allow downloads from other PCs switch.
Select the Windows update shortcut.
Click the Check for updates button.
Select the Close button.
