Connect to VPN from your PC - Windows 10

This article is intended for use by students who need to connect to Columbia Virtual Private Network (VPN) from their Windows devices.

Requirements:

• Enroll your mobile device in Dup MFA

• Install Cisco AnyConnect

• Connect to Columbia VPN for the first time

• An active internet connection

The steps listed will walk you through how to connect to Columbia VPN. The DUO authentication method used is the “Push” method. Please follow the steps to connect to Columbia VPN:

1. From the taskbar, right-click the Start button.
   
   
   

2. Select the Search shortcut.
   
   
   

3. In the Search field, enter: Cisco
   
   
   

4. Click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client app.
   
   
   

5. Click the Connect button.
   
   
   

6. Enter:
   User name: YourUNI
   Password: YourUniPassword
   Second Password: push
   
   
   

7. Click the OK button.
   
   
   
   

8. Tap the checkmark to approve the login request from your mobile device.

Disconnect from Columbia VPN

Please follow the steps to disconnect from Columbia VPN after you have finished your VPN session:

1. From the taskbar, right-click the Start button.
   
   
   

2. In the Search field, enter: Cisco
   
   
   
   

3. Click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client app.
   
   
   
   

4. Click the Disconnect button to end the VPN connection.
