Create a BeyondTrust Remote Support Jump Client Installer



Objective: Provide instructions on how to create Jump Client installers for deployment, which will need to be done after each host upgrade.


Target Audience: Columbia affiliates who are subscribed to CUIT's instance of BeyondTrust Remote Support.




  1. Log into the BT Remote Support web console
  2. Use the left navigation pane to open the Jump tab and click "+ ADD".
  3. Configure appropriate jump client settings and click "Create"

    Configuration Tips

    • The This Installer Is Valid For field indicates the timeframe for which the installer will be valid. Choose "1 year" to avoid having to re-create the installers at a later date.
    • The Tag can be used to organize your jump clients. For example, you can use it to group jump clients based on physical location or jump clients belonging to a specific user.
    • For Customer Present Session Policy, we suggest choosing "Customer Present Prompting" for one-to-one devices and "None" for shared/lab devices.
    • For Customer Not Present Session Policy, we suggest leaving it as the default "None" for all device types.


  4. On the next screen, choose your operating system version and click "Download"

You can use this installer as long as it hasn't expired. To maximize this time, choose 1 Year from the "This Installer is Valid For" drop-down.
