The PHOTO ROSTER is a Columbia created tool for Canvas and only individuals with the roles of Teacher or TA will be able to see this tool.

From the Photo Roster, you can view and print all enrolled students’ photos, view student’s advisor information and email, and view the class roster as a series of flash cards.

View and Print the Photo Roster

  1. Click on the Photo Roster link in the Course Navigation.
  2. The page defaults to photo view. Click the Print button on the right above the photos.


View Student’s Advisor and Email Address

  1. On the Photo Roster page, click the List tab.
  2. List view will show you the roster without photos, but will include information such as the student’s advisor and the student’s email address. If the advisor information is not displayed, it was not sent to CourseWorks by the Registrar.
  3. You can export the roster, including the additional information by clicking “Export CSV”.


Flash Cards

  1. On the Photo Roster page, click the Flash Cards tab.
  2. Click Begin to start the Flash Cards quiz
