Overview
The purpose of this document is to provide the manual steps required within the Slate+Advising instance whenever a new advisor is added to the team. Over time, this list of tasks should decrease as more processes are automated.

Each of the sections below an advisor leaves the SPS advising team.

The following actions must be completed for each former advisor.

- Remove user permission
- Access the

- Click the
- advisor's name
- Uncheck the "Enable account for access." box
- Click the "
Active Scheduler
- Save" button
The following advisor components can be left in place pending a periodic clean-up process:
- Assign Advisor Rule
- Active Scheduler widget(s) on portal page
- Active Scheduler availability
- Calendar feed in Managed Calendars
Periodic Cleanup
To completely remove all components related to an advisor, complete the following actions:
- Remove the advisor from the Meet our Advising Team portal
- Go to the Meet our Advising team portal page: https://advising.sps.columbia.edu/manage/database/portal/edit?id=a458ae30-9c5d-4d55-b774-938506ac0fd4
- Click the link to the "advisor_scheduling" view page
- Double-click the advisor's virtual scheduling widget
- Click the "Delete" button
- Click the "OK" button Double-click to confirm.
- Repeat the above steps for the advisor's in-person scheduling widget
- Click the "Delete" button
- Remove Active Scheduler components for the advisorDelete the advisor's Active Scheduler availability
- Click Scheduler > Active Scheduler
- Click the advisor's virtual schedule
- Click the "Edit" button
- Click the "Delete" button
- Click the "Ok" button to confirm
- Repeat the above steps for the advisor's in-person schedule
- Click the "Edit" button
- Click the "Delete" button
- Remove advisor's calendar from list of calendar feeds
- Go to the Manage Calendar feeds page: https://advising.sps.columbia.edu/manage/database/calendar?fg=all
- Click the advisor's calendar
- Click the "Delete" button
- Click the "OK" button to confirm delete
User Account / Permissions
- Access the User Permissions page: https://advising.sps.columbia.edu/manage/database/security/?view=active
- Click the advisor's name
- Uncheck the "Enable account for access." box
- Click the "Save" button
