Make Me Admin

This article is intended for use by staff members who need to make administrative changes on their devices.



What is Make Me Admin?

It’s an open-source app that makes the current user an Administrator for 10 minutes. Users can install apps, add printers, and make admin changes to the computer. After 10 minutes Admin access will subside. More information about Make Me Admin can be found here.

Grant Admin rights on a Mac

On a Mac the Make Me Admin app runs in the background. You can open the app using a shortcut on the e Menu Bar. Please follow the steps below to Grant admin access:

  1. From the Menu Bar, Click the Make Me Admin icon.

  2. Click the Elevate Rights option.

  3. Click the OK button.
