How to use your Panopto Recorder

Your Panopto Recorder will look like this!


1) Make sure you select the proper video camera, microphone and video quality! If you have a video in your presentation, please make sure you have "Capture Computer Audio" selected.

2) To adjust your mic volume, please go to the mic volume knob located next to Primary Source. To determine if your mic volume is in the proper levels, please make sure to speak into your mic and that it remains within the green level.

3) If you have a Powerpoint or will be using a third party program/ website please make sure you have the following selected.

4) To make sure you capture the highest video quality possible, please make sure the follow settings match the picture below. 

Resolution: 1920 x 1080, fps: 30, kbps: 2500

5) Please make sure you name the recording file and that it is saved to the proper folder.

6) Once your settings are in place, please click "Record" located on the top left.
