Add to Windows desktop in office

This article is intended for use by Staff members who need to print to Law School 6th floor network printers. This article will walk you through how to delete the old network printers from your Windows office computer and connect to the new network printers in the Jerome Greene Hall 6th floor Copy Room (Rm. 604).


Requirements


Delete the old 6th-floor network printers

The old network printers were physically removed and taken offline. If you send a print job to the old network printers, your job will not print out. To avoid sending jobs to the old printers, please follow the steps to remove the printers from your office computer:

  1. From the Taskbar, right-click the Start button.

     

  2. Select the Settings shortcut.

     

  3. Select the Devices option.

  4. Select the Printers & scanners setting.


  5. From Printers & scanners, find the GRHL_6FLCR_HPCP5225DN_COLOR network printer, select it, and then, click the Remove device button.

     

  6. Find GRHL_6FLCR_RICOH_PRINTER select it, and then, click the Remove device button


Add the new 6th-floor network printers.

The old HP color printer and Ricoh machine have been consolidated into one single printer. The new Ricoh machine can print color print jobs as well as print 11x17 (Tabloid) size jobs. Please follow the steps to add the new network printers to your office computer. 

  1. From the Taskbar, right-click the Start button.

     

  2. Select the Search shortcut.

     

  3. From the Search box, enter: \\lawsfprdps01 and select the Enter key on the keyboard.

     

  4. From the list of the network printers, find and double-click GRHL_6FLCR_RICOH_PRINTER_COLOR.

     

  5. From the list of the network printers, find and double-click GRHL_6FLCR_HP600M603DN.
