Introduction
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up the classroom's technology for teaching.
Turning on the PC
Check the monitor:
If the screen is black, press and hold on the monitor screen for 3-4 seconds.
If you still don’t see the PC, proceed to step 2.
Access the podium:
Open the podium doors located below the drawers.
Check the PC:
Look for a white light on the power button.
If no light is visible, press the power button to turn on the PC.
Setting up Projection
Choose your control method:
Option A: Use the wall panel
Option B: Use the monitor on the podium
Press the "PC" button on your chosen control.
This action will:
Turn on the projector
Lower the screen
Display the PC screen
If you do not see the “PC” button or any of the room controls on the monitor, please tap and hold the middle of the screen for 3 -4 seconds.
Setting up Microphone
Choose one of the following options:
Option A: Podium Microphone
The podium microphone can be used if you prefer to speak at the podium. Adjust the height accordingly to reach your desired volume.
Option B: Lavaliere Microphone
Find the lavaliere microphone on top of the podium (or check the drawers if not visible).
Clip the microphone about 6 inches from your mouth.
Turn on the power switch (located at the top of the mic).
Look for a green light indicating power is on.
Speak and adjust the microphone position as needed for desired volume.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
---|---|
Monitor is missing | To elevate the touch screen monitor, find the silver remote in the podium drawer. Press the UP arrow once. You will hear the lift in motion, raising the monitor completely. |
Login issues | Double-check UNI and password; contact AV if the issue persists. |
Projector not displaying | Verify "PC" button was pressed on wall panel or podium monitor. |
Microphone does not turn on | Change the batteries. Batteries can be found in the podium drawer. |
